Our Communities
We work hard to create the environment that will engage your toddler and provide opportunities for his or her growth and development. During this critical period, we strive to support each child's bid for independence and help him or her do it on their own. Our Pre-Primary community is for students ages 18 months to 3 years.
We have prepared our classroom to meet the needs of children in our primary community (ages 3-6) while they are in this crucial phase of life. The children's experiences in our community will nurture their development of individual skills within a group setting, so that they will emerge intellectually and emotionally ready for school, and with necessary social skills.
With over 8,000 square feet of fenced in outdoor space, Kay Shell Montessori School offers children of all ages a safe place to explore, imagine, and rest. From the wooden seesaw and the old tires to the children's garden and the picnic tables, the outdoor environment encourages students to learn about and engage with the nature surrounding them.
Our school day runs Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 3:00pm (pick up begins at 2:45pm). We also have an optional aftercare program until 5:30pm. We are on an 11-month calendar: we are closed in July as our time to recharge and prepare for the next school year. Throughout the year, we follow the Coweta County School calendar for holidays and breaks.
